Cure your early extension issues by using this alignment stick drill

As Thurm explains in the video, one of the most-searched golf issues that players seek answers to is early extension. Check out his drill to see how it can improve your swing.

Optimize your distance by discovering the proper weight shift. Hereโ€™s how

Thurm says that he has โ€œno problem with the beginning level golfer who pretty much turns around on a single axis and stays on the lead side.โ€

Behind the Golf Brand โ€“
with Jake Thurm

Jake uses 3-D Technology to analyze Streelmanโ€™s swing

Last week, while in his native Chicago, Ill., for The Streels, a golf tournament he put on with the Illinois Junior Golf Association, Streelman stopped at the house of longtime friend and coach Jake Thurm. Equipped with 3-D technology in his garage, Thurm put Streelmanโ€™s swing under a microscope and found a slight irregularity with the position of his rib cage at address. While Streelmanโ€™s hips and shoulder were square to his target, his rib cage was actually 20 degrees open, not allowing him to make a complete backswing. As a result, Streelman was too often losing stability and throwing his hands at the ball, causing the consistent and unwanted fade. Now Streelman sets up for a shot and wants to feel his rib cage closing to the target. What may seem like a minor tweak has โ€œbeen a pretty drastic change for me,โ€ he said.
